Dr. Jose Rocca
Jose Rocca, R.Ph., Ph.D., founded EZ Melts® in 2007. Dr. Rocca is regarded for his expertise in the development of complex formulations and delivery systems in the pharmaceutical sector and, more recently, nutraceutical product lines. He is perhaps best known for pioneering the exclusive formulation and manufacturing process for ‘fast-melt’ tablets that separates EZ Melts® from any other vitamin and supplement on the market. Under Dr. Rocca’s leadership, EZ Melts® focuses on developing vitamins and supplements using innovative ingredients and advanced formulations that are safe, effective, and outright delicious.
Before founding EZ Melts®, Dr. Rocca served as Director of Research and Development for Kos Pharmaceuticals. In this role, he helped develop a series of proprietary formulations for the cardiovascular disease management market, which ultimately led to the acquisition by Abbott Laboratories. Dr. Rocca earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin and then achieved his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and Industrial Pharmacy. He has authored several scientific papers on drug delivery systems and is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and events. He is also the inventor of several US and International patents for delivery technologies and pharmaceutical compositions.
Dr. Rocca sits on the Scientific Advisory Board of several nutraceutical and pharmaceutical companies and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Nova Southeastern University, teaching to Pharm.D. and Ph.D. graduate students.
When he is not working or teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Kimmi Le
Dr. Kimmi Le is a dynamic leader in the wellness and supplement industry, combining her expertise in clinical nutrition, herbal medicine, and pharmacy with a passion for holistic health solutions. Kimmi has dedicated herself to developing health programs and products that empower communities by making wellness accessible and evidence-based. At EZ Melts®, she drives innovation in supplement development, crafting science-backed products that promote long-term vitality and holistic well-being.
With a Doctor of Pharmacy from NSU College of Pharmacy and certifications as a Clinical Nutritionist, Herbalist, and Culinary Medicine Specialist, Kimmi’s academic background supports her mission of integrating science and nature in health solutions. She also served as an Assistant Professor and Director of Preceptor Development at NSU College of Pharmacy, where her instruction, modeling, coaching, and facilitation guided students as they applied knowledge she learned in the classroom to practice.
Dr. Le’s work has been featured on several outlets, including NBC6 News, Mind Body Green, and Better Homes and Gardens, highlighting her role as a leading voice in wellness. Her passion for health equity, community education, and the development of nutraceutical products continues to inspire others as she fosters a global shift toward preventative health and wellness practices.

Dr. Dave Mastropietro
Dr. David Mastropietro is an accomplished licensed pharmacist, researcher, and pharmaceutical scientist with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. He currently serves as Executive Vice President of Product Development and Quality Management at EZ Melts®, where he leads the development of innovative dietary supplements and ensures strict regulatory compliance. His expertise also includes both sterile and non-sterile pharmacy compounded formulations, along with their regulatory and quality components. Dr. Mastropietro serves as a subject matter expert and facilitator for the LP3 Network, where he shares his knowledge of compounded preparations and technologies with pharmacists and other healthcare practitioners.
Dr. Mastropietro holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Nova Southeastern University. He has over two decades of experience in academia, having taught at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy, where he remains an adjunct faculty member. His teaching and research focus on formulation development, pharmacy calculations, and pharmaceutical compounding, helping future pharmacists and patients gain access to personalized medicine.
A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Mastropietro has authored over 24 peer-reviewed publications, several book chapters, and presented extensively at national and international conferences. His work is also reflected in numerous U.S. and international patent applications, underscoring his contributions to pharmaceutical sciences and dietary supplement innovation. His blend of academic and industry experience positions him as a key expert in the development of cutting-edge dietary supplement products for EZ Melts®.

Dr. Jose Bastida
Dr. Jose Bastida is an integral member of EZ Melts'® Research and Innovation team, leading advancements in nutraceutical science. He is at the forefront of product innovation, bridging scientific discovery with practical health applications. His expertise in clinical research, human metabolism, and evidence-based nutrition drives the development of EZ Melt’s® high-quality, science-backed formulations designed to optimize health, longevity, and overall quality of life. Dr. Bastida plays a critical role in identifying emerging trends, evaluating scientific literature, and synthesizing complex data to create the next generation of nutraceuticals. Dr. Bastida brings a strong foundation built upon extensive research in microbiome and nutrition science to the EZ Melts® team.
He earned his Ph.D. in Dietetics and Nutrition from Florida International University (FIU), where he also obtained his M.S. and B.S. His nearly a decade of clinical and laboratory research has focused on the intricate connections between diet, inflammation, and gut health, exploring their influence on chronic disease and well-being. This work included investigating how data-driven nutritional interventions and bioactive compounds impact human physiology, gained through experience in world-class research laboratories and large cohort studies.
Recognized for his academic excellence and contributions to the field, Dr. Bastida has received prestigious awards, including the FIU Dissertation Year Fellowship, the Florida Education Fund’s McKnight Dissertation Fellowship, and recognition as a finalist for the ASN Emerging Leaders in Nutrition Science Award. His work is published in peer-reviewed journals and has been presented at national conferences. As an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Society for Nutrition, Dr. Bastida is committed to bridging scientific discovery with real-world health applications.
